How To Escape From The Void Of Writer’s Block?

If you ask us, Writer’s Block is that one relative at a party that we want to avoid at all cost. Constantly hoping that we don’t bump into him/her. Writer’s Block stagnates us. It creates a huge wall-of-void and spews us with an illusion that there is no escape.

But trust us, there is always a way out, like:

1) Research, Research, Research:

Sometimes your thoughts might go empty because there is no original source, to begin with. It is for this reason that research can work best. And we don’t mean that you should limit yourself to the three-walls of the World Wide Web. Grab a cup of coffee with your friend or call them, talk to them, and ask their views. You might be surprised by their opinions. Real-time research always works best.

2)  5 Minutes or Half-And-Hour Rule

Sometimes, the thoughts are just right there in your mind but not yet on the paper. So taking a 5-minute break or a half-and-hour break off from writing can do wonders. It gives your mind a recess so that it can fuel itself and help you write like a pro. If you think that the timing doesn’t work for you then you can create your own clock, since each individual is unique. But always remember and observe as to when your mind is ready to ride the hamster wheel.

3)  Nature Therapy

If you feel that the walls are closing in while writing then it’s your mind screaming, “Let’s Take A Walk”. A prolonged slouched position at your desk, glaring into the eyes of the screen can be pretty daunting for a mind. We are tactile beings. We innately crave nature. So, take a walk, breath in the fresh air or just stand near your balcony and see the plants.

Our sense of touch can calm down our minds to a great extent. No wonder hugs are the best right? So don’t be a stranger in the world created for you. It can help untangle your mind so that you can revive again to write your best

4) It Is Not Always About Perfection

Everyone craves perfection, but sometimes it comes to a point where we are terrified of it. So much so that we want to type words that are perfect or else we resort to just a blank space. But the thing about writing is that it doesn’t have to be perfect all the time.

What we want to do as writers is to make readers feel a certain way. You never know that your thought process might be parallel with a bunch of readers.

So write it down, irrespective of the fact that it is perfect or not. Then re-read your blog and re-edit it. Do it one step at a time. Then you will see that your writing is turning into perfection.
